Two PROMIXX products have been named winners at the 2026 European Product Design Awards. Pursuit Stainless Steel won in Hobby & Sports / Fitness Accessories. Core, our daily vitamin and supplement case, won in Hobby & Sports / Fitness Accessories: Other Designs. Both were designed by Matthew Blofeld.
The EPDA is decided by a jury committee that assesses the design of each entry. Entrants submit a written case explaining the problem, the decisions made and why. That suits us, because the thinking is the part we care about most.
We’re pleased, and we want to use this post to explain what went into each product. Not a victory lap. More of a look at the reasoning, since that’s what the jury was actually assessing.
Pursuit Stainless Steel: a shaker built to be kept
The people who buy our shakers read nutrition labels. They compare protein sources and check what’s in their pre-workout. But the bottle they mix it all in rarely gets the same attention, even though they might use it several times a day.
We think that’s changing. People are starting to ask whether the things they use every day are durable, hygienic and worth keeping. Pursuit Stainless Steel is our answer for the ones who want a more substantial bottle.
Why steel… and why not only steel
Pursuit Stainless Steel doesn’t replace our Ecozen bottles. Ecozen is light, clear and practical, and plenty of people prefer it. Steel suits a different person: someone who values weight, solidity and a material that holds up to years of use.
The body is 18/8 food-grade stainless steel. It resists staining and doesn’t hold on to odors, so yesterday’s chocolate protein doesn’t flavor today’s creatine. It’s single wall, which keeps it lighter than you’d expect for a steel bottle, and it’s recyclable at the end of its life.
What we kept the same
We didn’t redesign the mixing. Our snap-fit domed agitator already worked, so it stayed. It uses the movement of the liquid to break down powder, and because it’s fixed in place there’s no loose wire ball to rattle or go missing.
Changing a material for the sake of it isn’t good design. The job was to find where steel made a real difference and leave alone the parts people already trusted.
Details that come from daily use
A shaker gets handled constantly: kitchen, commute, gym, desk, rinse, repeat. Small problems show up quickly at that frequency. So we spent a lot of time on how it feels in the hand.
- Silicone sleeve. A soft-touch, non-slip sleeve gives grip when your hands are sweaty and takes the cold edge off the metal. It also protects the steel from knocks.
- Soft-grip handle and mouthpiece insert. Both are soft-touch, and the handle is impact resistant.
- Two sizes. 26oz (760ml) and 32oz (950ml), the largest in the Pursuit range.
- Easy care. Top-rack dishwasher safe, with a leak-proof lid and a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
Color as a reason to keep it
Steel looks cool and a bit architectural on its own, so the sleeve and lid colors had to work with it. There are six pairings, from Stealth Black & Cyan to Lilac & Seagrass Green. We deliberately avoided splitting the range into predictable “his and hers” options.
This matters more than it might seem. A reusable bottle only benefits the environment if people keep using it. If someone still likes how their bottle looks in three years, they’re far less likely to replace it.
Core: designed for the half-awake morning
Mornings are busy. Coffee, keys, breakfast, out the door. Supplements tend to sit near the bottom of that list, and they’re easy to forget when everything else takes over.
Most pill cases don’t help much. They often look clinical, so they get put in a drawer, which means they’re out of sight right when you need them. Core started from a simple idea: don’t ask people to build a new habit. Put the supplements where an existing habit already happens.
It lives on the fridge
Core has a neodymium magnetic base that holds it flat against a fridge door. That’s where a lot of mornings start, so the case is already in view when you pour water or make breakfast. No remembering where you left it.
The same magnet lets several cases stack together. You might keep everyday vitamins in one and training-day supplements in another, or give each person in the house their own.
Decide once, not every morning
Inside are three compartments. You can split them by time of day, by type, or any other way that suits you. We didn’t print days or times on them, because people’s routines vary too much for one system to fit everyone.
The point is to make the decision in advance. Fill it once, and you’re no longer standing in the kitchen each morning working out what to take. It’s a small change, but routines usually break down over small bits of friction rather than big problems.

A lid that feels securely closed
The lid doesn’t snap shut. It twists into place with a firm, positive feel, so you know it’s properly closed before it goes in a pocket or gym bag. That matters most when Core leaves the house.
Made to be seen
If a case is going to sit on your fridge or desk, it can’t look like something from a pharmacy counter. So Core is compact, rounded and deliberately understated. The solid base gives it some presence, and the lid shows the contents without making them the main event.
Color does a practical job too. In a shared household it tells one person’s case from another’s. For one person, different colors can mark different routines without needing a label.
What the two have in common
A shaker and a pill case look like very different products. But they came from the same way of working.
Both start with the routine rather than the object. Pursuit Stainless Steel is shaped by being handled several times a day. Core is shaped by a rushed kitchen at 7am. In each case we asked where the small annoyances were and designed around those.
Both are meant to be seen. We think people keep things they’re happy to leave on a desk or a fridge, and hide things they aren’t. A product that gets hidden tends to get forgotten, and then replaced.
And both are built to last. Pursuit Stainless Steel and Core each carry a Limited Lifetime Warranty. Longevity is partly about materials and partly about whether you still want the thing a few years on. We tried to get both right.
